YouTube Preview Image Kauai Stupas – Filled With Love 

This is a slide show synced to music showing the filling of granite and marble stupas with 6,000 tsa tsa made by the Kauai Buddhist community from 2006 – 2008.  The cover photo to the left is of Lama Rinchen and Andrew Fitts interring them in a granite stupa. The slide show starts out with a ceremonial empowerment for the central marble stupa called, “Sealing the Negativity.”

Kauai Peace Park – Building the Dream 

Scenes are from the very beginning of the project, with a stupa site blessing and grounds preparation in 2006. Construction of prayer wall and sub-shrines follows, then the craning of the central marble stupa in place. Remaining shots are from the final consecration Feb. 26, 2009. This series shows how to make plaster tsa tsa in the form of little stupas by using rubber molds. These are put into the hollow core of stupas. It is a Tibetan Buddhist traditional arts and craft. Slides synced to electronica music.

Kalu Rinpoche – Sonada, India 

Photos from Kalu Rinpoche’s 18th birthday celebration in Sonada, India September 2008. The slide show starts out at Bokar Rinpoche’s monastery in Mirik, where Kalu Rinpoche had just emerged after his 3 year retreat, then moves to Sonada as he is welcomed back to his home monastery. There are also a number of photos of Lama Karma Rinchen, a devotee of Kalu Rinpoche, who was instrumental in the Kauai stupa project.

Burma’s second most revered pilgrimage spot after the Schwedagon Paya in Yangon. This is a video of devotees applying gold leaf to the Rock just before day break, floodlights bathing the whole scene. The video ends with a 360 pan of the surrounding temple activities.

Burma’s most revered stupa and temple complex in Yangon. Photos of typical scenes at shrines where Buddhas smile down reverently, with an inserted video clip of people meditating at night.
