If we look back at prehistory and imagine what might have existed prior to the Egyptian dynasties, back to the first time, we are led to human accomplishments and capabilities that seem otherworldly. Many cultures worldwide have a common story of man having a luminous undying body, with the ability to fly, and to communicate with animals in telepathy. We are only beginning to unravel this incredible tale and to question how this might have been possible. If we look deep enough, I trust we will recover an understanding.

Though I love the imagery and feelings of what this exalted Paradise might have been like, I am most fascinated by the Fall. I am living in a time when the Fall is ever so much in evidence and I want to understand how it came to be so.

What was it that ended the good times? Was it happenstance, or did we bring it on? Did we do something wrong to get kicked out of the garden?

Some traditions tell us that the Fall was due to having eaten from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, but I don’t buy that. I think they have that backwards – it’s mostly ignorance that is the problem.

I think it’s something deeper.

According to most myth and religious interpretation, the Fall came about due to some human transgression or failure. Most traditions see its original cause as a temptation that man willfully engaged in, choosing a path of error and corruption.

What was this indulgence that led man away from his higher station? And what was this higher station? I believe that once upon a time we humans lived a very different life and were engaged in a planet wide culture of high enlightenment. We were like gods, in that we were full partners in Creation.

I believe that the Fall from this god-like state, wherein we were in a partnership with Creation or the Godhead, was in our becoming lost in fascination with the fruit of this activity.

In my understanding, the Edenic apple or the forbidden fruit, represents the world of form that was highly developed by us – a type of apogee of human experience. We were wise, compassionate masters of the game of life, and we did great things and created wonders. In these elaborate and perfected forms that we created, we sought a reflection of our accomplishment. The manifestation of these forms was not the problem, but only in how we began to relate to them. We saw our beloved third dimensional form-thought as a mark of our esteemed self-image, and developed an irresistible source of pride.

The desire for this self-reflection and attachment to it led to our Fall. This was the initial cause of our separation from our previous god-like stature. Our desire to look into the mirror and see ourselves led us away from god-like consciousness. Our transcendent capabilities in helping steer the cosmos collapsed with our myopic fixation on ourselves and our creations. The desire to own the world of form led to our downfall, as we forgot our original compact with God. We lost our way.

God abandoned us as a fallen partner, and we were reduced in our qualities and abilities. Since this original displacement, we have descended further and further, and life has become more difficult. With remove from our earlier exalted state, sorrow has increased and the longing to be reunited deepened. Sadly, over time this recall has diminished and replaced with forgetfulness, leading to our current self-created prisons of skin encapsulated ego. Nowadays many people have no collective memory of a time when we were a god-like creature, and further no idea of why a Fall from a previous grace may have happened.

All archaic cultures look back to this first time as one of perfection. This looking back in appreciation and longing has today been replaced by a reverse view – that we are in ascension as a culture. This has only come about through our near total amnesia of our human and planetary past.

However, despite the loss of most of our memory, and our delusion that we are so much smarter than our ancestors, maybe we are indeed building up toward some greater knowledge. Perhaps we are gaining in skill at putting the pieces of the puzzle back together. The haziness of our forgetfulness is burning off, and we are beginning to see all the terrible bargains we have made with both ourselves and others that brought on the darkness of this material age.

In this final iron age of debasement we may have reached a type of reverse apex, having been fully occluded from our original natures. Many of us are now returning to an understanding and hopefully a re-experiencing of what Paradise is or was, remembering the various aspects that contributed to such a time of perfection.

We have a long way to go, as we are only beginning this process. Much has been covered up, and our memories repressed. We can only hope that we will be successful in our return voyage, with more and more people waking up all the time.

“Being extraordinary is a terrific bother, truth be told, so please appreciate the benefits of ordinariness if you are so blessed.

Every hour of every day, we are persuaded that the benefits of being extraordinary in some way are equally extraordinary. This has two propaganda components:

1. If you buy this product or service (touted by An Extraordinary Person), you will feel the vicarious thrill of acting/looking like you’re extraordinary.

2. Our society is a meritocracy, blah blah blah; if you are naturally talented/bright and if you make extraordinary efforts, you might rise above mere ordinary and start accruing all those fabulous benefits reserved for the extraordinary.

What if these benefits aren’t as wonderful as advertised? That would hurt sales and the drive of those who bought into the meritocracy claim.

Let’s start with those glorified twins, fame and fortune. Fame is actually a huge bother. You have to be polite to strangers or risk your sour rejection of fans being spread over the Web in short order. You find that acclaim wears thin very quickly on multiple levels: any comment might be taken out of context and used to undermine your claim to extraordinariness, and your human foibles are trumpeted as weaknesses.

People seek some sort of ethical-spiritual perfection in the famous, as if being extraordinary in some field automatically elevates a person to sainthood.

The demands made on your time and attention cannot possibly be met; all the world’s a stage, and you are constantly “on.” While the morbidly insecure come to depend on this diet of public adoration, those with any shred of inner security soon find the whole “fame thing” tiresome.

As for fortune: your focus shifts from reveling in wealth to worrying about protecting it. The average person has a “wish list” of stuff they would buy with a fortune: fancy autos, homes, tropical islands, etc. But all of these properties require maintenance, and so you become a manager–unless you hire a manager, which then opens you up to being ripped off or defrauded. (The list of actors, sports celebrities and rock stars whose wealth has vanished in dubious “investments” and outright fraud is long indeed.)

After you’ve spent whatever can be spent, then you have to concern yourself with capital preservation, and in this volatile world that is a major source of anxiety. No wonder so many lottery winners end up broke a few years after their big windfall: the constant appeals for cash and the hassles of managing wealth become too much, and squandering it is the only way to return to a sane, less anxious life.

Or your $300 million dwindles to $5 million, and the loss deranges you to the point you shoot disruptive neighbors or otherwise snap. Many a dot-com millionaire is haunted by what they didn’t do with their brief but glorious wealth.

Now for the benefits of being ordinary. The temptations to stray are few for the ordinary; those of us with ordinary looks, brains, talent and wealth are not beset with the temptations of impossibly beautiful women/handsome men, nor do dealers approach us with offers of cocaine or other costly illegal substances. No one is willing to give themselves to us for access to our power, because we have no power beyond that residing in our bodies and souls.

Lacking power and prestige, we are not tempted to lie to protect our power and prestige.

Since everything we own is also ordinary, there isn’t much worth stealing (except if we own older-model Japanese cars that are worth more in parts than as whole vehicles), so ordinary security measures are sufficient.

As ordinary people, nobody expects extraordinary results or behaviors from us. Expectations of us are also ordinary, which means that good work and politeness will go a long way to meet or exceed expectations.

The extraordinary, unfortunately, are constantly beset by expectations that are impossible to consistently meet. For example, if you are a top concert pianist, critics will be listening for any slight weakness in your performance, not just compared to others but to your past performances.

If a money manager generates extraordinary returns one year, he is expected to meet or best that return the following year, and so on, until he quits or expires.

Your very extraordinariness becomes a liability or a weapon used against you.

Trying to do extraordinary things is often dangerous, for example, snowboarding Denali. Mistakes can cost you your life at this level. Even in “safe” endeavors, any failure is potentially sufficient to ruin your career.

Thus academics without tenure must obsess over backstabbing rivals in the department or the “graduate student from Hell” whose parent happens to be a powerful, well-connected dean at a top university.

Those seeking extraordinary standing, position, accomplishment, recognition or returns are exposed to soul-numbing burdens and pressures as those chasing the same rarefied position will stop at nothing to undermine you or increase their chances by lowering yours.

The ordinary have no such worries. We tend to have jobs nobody wants badly enough to plot against us.

The extraordinary must maintain high internal standards that sap the joy from life. Music loses its fun-factor when your internal standards are necessarily performance-level. If nothing less than the corner office and a partnership will do, then life becomes a vacuous treadmill of overwork and anxiety about falling short.

The ordinary have far fewer such worries. Music remains a joy because advancement from a low level is rewarding, and the freedom from impossible job pressures is true freedom.

As you may have noticed, I am ordinary/average in every way, with the one exception being the quantity of words I disgorge on an annual basis. I am not sure this is something to brag about, as it may well be evidence of an unhealthy imbalance somewhere in my jumbled mind.

Otherwise I am blissfully ordinary in all other things: wealth (modest), looks (ditto), power (none), athletic ability (near-zero), musical ability (ditto), talent at learning foreign languages (ditto), stock trading ability (sub-average, constantly beaten by a monkey throwing darts), spiritual attainment (none), author (minimal sales) and so on. Everything I own is also ordinary, and the best thing I own (the Les Paul guitar) is just a production model–nothing custom, rare or fancy.

Being extraordinary is a terrific bother, truth be told, so please appreciate the benefits of ordinariness if you are so blessed.”

Many argue that this could never happen, but more and more voices are raising the alarm that this is a very possible scenario.  With all the towering derivatives and collateralized debt obligations in the financial markets at risk of cascading into full default, all it takes is one significant financial failure of a bank to set the dominoes falling. As these debt instruments unwind quickly, it will be revealed that there is not enough money in the system to settle all the claims.  Once the music stops, money will have evaporated into very few hands. At that point the dollar would be worthless.

Currently the Fed is trying to flood the system with more fiat paper money to avoid this outcome, but the recipient banks are making few loans and instead hoarding it to prop up their balance sheets. It is not entering the economy in a high enough volume to sufficiently increase liquidity for the capital markets. All it is doing is leading to a dangerous flirtation with inflation and its nasty cousin, hyperinflation.

If money and credit stops circulating adequately, business would grind to a halt.  No longer would there be the necessary credit lubrication needed for exchanging goods and services. On the other side of the coin is hyperinflation resulting in the same outcome – a collapse of the currency.

The populace would suddenly be struck with insolvency except for what people had on hand – paper money, precious metals, and any other hard assets perceived to have value.

This means that production and distribution of all kinds of goods would be interrupted due to an inability to link sellers and buyers through a convenient medium of monetary exchange.  Any food and goods still in the stores would be stripped from the shelves, available for sale only to those with cash. Our just-in-time inventory systems mean that re-stocking would be limited to whatever is in the pipeline and nothing more until credit transfers were reestablished.

In short, we would be thrown back on our local resources, and many people would panic.  This is the acute phase of societal breakdown.  If people were fearful, hungry, and angry, this could develop into a full-blown social crisis.

In this event, government would mobilize and martial law would be declared.  It’s likely there would be complete lockdown to avoid civil unrest.  Feeding people becomes the number one priority.  For those that have ‘prepped’ for such a possible catastrophe, there will be some solace in not going hungry and not needing to go out in public and vie for government handouts with those that are destitute.

This acute phase will pass, but a more chronic condition might take its place if the system doesn’t come back on line.  In such a chronic situation, the national government will likely issue a new currency or reinstate a devalued dollar. No matter the degree of success of this effort, it will be chaos.  Whatever new regime gets established people will end up being disenfranchised with much of their paper or digital wealth gone. They may only own whatever they can defend and have near their person, i.e. house, land, equipment, gold, silver and other hard assets.

In such a scenario we will be forced back onto our local reality.  The national government will not have the means to support the people other than militarily (a double edged sword), and the state government will also find its ability to contribute severely limited. However, our local county or town will mobilize and will be the main public entity that will be able to make a difference.

This means that we are very much on our own.  For a time, society may completely change and its meaning become transferred to our neighborhood and surrounding area.  This may occur for many months or spread out into years if there is difficulty in implementing a new system.  In the meantime, survival issues are paramount.  Priorities will change completely and people will need to be intimately involved in securing local food and energy sources. Out the window go celebrity worship, reality shows, and national sports.

This article presupposes not only a breakdown in the supply chain, but a high degree of wealth destruction as a dollar devaluation kicks in. However, no one can really predict the outcome of such an event. It is only a calculated guess.  The purpose of this article is to point to an extreme version of systemic failure to help motivate each of us to consider that ‘prepping’, whether physical or psychological, is an important safeguard.

At the center of it all are crushing debt loads, both personal and governmental.  How did we get into this position?  The easy answer is that we overspent and we didn’t take in enough income to pay for our expenses.  We were able to borrow money to cover the lack of income, hoping that in the future we would earn enough money to pay back our creditors and find our way back into the black.  We didn’t have to curtail our spending to match our income, because we could delay the day of reckoning by borrowing money at interest.

Well, this plan hasn’t worked – we have spent ourselves into some kind of oblivion. We are in hock to the moneylenders. Everywhere we look there are monstrous debt loads on which the interest payments are so large that they consume most of the working capital needed for individuals and governments to operate.

This cannot continue.  We are in a death spiral. Cutting back operations in order to pay the interest on our debt hobbles the whole enterprise.  Such austerity only leads to one outcome: the diminishment and eventual loss of lifeblood to keep the endeavor alive.  Not only the host dies, but the creditors don’t get paid.  Follow this all the way through and you end up with a complete dismemberment of society.

As mentioned, the easy explanation is our profligacy – we overspent and must pay a heavy price for our excess. However, this view misses a fundamental point.  Underlying the accumulated debt is a system that was put into place to create this outcome.  For some reason, this is something that few people seem able to address.  It is a system that is so entrenched that most take it for granted, as if there are no other options.

This is the greatest error – to look at the symptoms of the money crisis and not at the root of what is causing it.  Somehow, we have become either stupid or amnesic, and don’t recall how we got into this situation.  The all-important subject of money creation and its management for the public good has for some reason escaped the understanding of the populace.  Americans used to have an understanding in earlier times when there was a more equal balance of power between government and the people.  The people knew that the Money Masters, the elite bankers and their political cohorts, were always one step away from instituting their debt slavery system. The history of this struggle in America is well documented.  Andrew Jackson, in his review of his presidency, spoke that his greatest accomplishment was “killing the bank,” meaning the ending of the private cartel that controlled the printing of money loaned to the U.S. government. Indeed, the original American Republic was formed in large part to throw off the shackles of this same system that the British used to hold power over the colonies.

Unfortunately, the Money Masters prevailed yet again in 1913 with the formation of the privately owned Federal Reserve.  In the last 100 years we have labored under this fiat money system, and the end result of this fiasco is near at hand.  The dollar has lost 95% of its value over this time through inflating the currency away.  Debt levels have soared and the banking families that have an iron grip over their central bank money printing machines have vacuumed up much of the productive assets of the nation.

Many people don’t realize that this type of monetary system is a human enslavement system thought up by wealthy conniving men a long time ago. Throughout history, it is alternately running the show or threatening to take over the show.  In our times it is so thoroughly running the show that we have forgotten that we ever had a struggle with it.  It has become so endemic to our lives that most people can’t even identify it as an issue.

Fortunately, the Internet Reformation is bringing it back into the spotlight.  However, the hour is late. This fiat money system that few people understand is quickly reaching its end game.  There is a natural progression that it is following.  All previous fiat regimes, also known as Ponzi schemes, have ended the same way – collapse. Historically, to cover their tracks and institute a new regime from the ashes of the failed system, the elite propel the population into a war.  This is what is currently underway.

Unfortunately for society, many people don’t care, aren’t interested, don’t understand, are out to lunch or on their cell phones.

The jury is still out whether the population will wake up, connect the dots and take action.  The issue is so large, so seemingly impossible to do anything about, that I imagine for most people it is so overwhelming that they just choose to walk away and ignore the subject.

My personal belief is that in all matters of life, whether societal or individual, there is a tipping point.  If enough people come to an understanding, then the body politic will shift.  It is not a case of having to go out and demonstrate or brandish a gun.  The awareness seeps into everyday, and then somehow the awakening happens when enough people have a common knowledge (and speak out to inform others).

Prepping involves more than securing our physical well-being in the event of social disruption.  It is also a psychological exercise in readying ourselves for possible changes to our normal way of living.  The two go hand in hand.

I suppose we could mentally prepare for change and do nothing to secure our physical safety, and we could compulsively hoard survival gear without knowing why, but for most people it’s a hand in glove, step by step process in coming to grips with survival issues.

How do we position ourselves to deal with possible grave changes to our lives?

Humanity is at a crossroads. We now see that planetary resources are finite and the carrying capacity of the earth has a limit. We are quickly fouling our nest in our rapacious consumption of material goods. All of earth’s ecosystems are under stress. Competition among humans for scarce resources is leading to increased conflict and wars.

Alongside this development, our worldwide financial system of fiat paper money and fractional reserve lending is controlled by a powerful oligarchy through its central banking monopoly. It has led to a Ponzi pyramid of insurmountable debt and false credit that is teetering and soon to default.  It is another system that is reaching the apex of its carrying capacity.

As the consolidation of power continues through such money manipulation and resource depletion, governments and corporations are racing ahead to garner more control over the populace.  This is leading to another type of struggle as fascist government arises in opposition to the natural will of the people wishing to maintain their liberties. A full surveillance police state is emerging. A confrontation is in store.

These three developments – planetary degradation, money failure, and social power struggle are all linked.  Never before have humans come up against such an array of odds on such a worldwide scale. It all adds up to a massive cathartic shift waiting to happen.  How will it transform?  Will it descend into chaos and result in a degraded human experience?  Or is there something on the other side of this change that could result in a positive outcome?

Preparing ourselves mentally for this change is not just girding ourselves to withstand the onslaught of an overturned world, but to be open to a new paradigm that could emerge.  Humankind seems to be waking up to its conditioned existence, and the old levers of power are being unmasked through the Internet Reformation. People are tired of insular governments that serve themselves, instead of the people.  The hidden oligarchies, the Money Masters behind it all are being revealed as the evil conspirators that they are.

With these revelations, and a collapse of the old system, it is possible that this ancient control mechanism over humanity may no longer dominate.  If the body politic becomes informed to a great enough degree, humanity as a whole could take charge of its destiny and no longer be ruled by this minority cabal of sociopaths.

It is clear that two diametrically opposed futures are possible for humanity. The first is quite clearly seen in the current headlong rush by The Powers That Be to seize full control over the population and to institute a type of gulag system. This is a return to serfdom and an elimination of any class other than the elite and the poor huddled masses that labor for them.  This is a stark vision of a technologically advanced, dark, soul-crushing world.

The opposite outcome is one that is mostly hidden from view due to its revolutionary nature and its suppression by those in power.  It is a vision that is marginalized and often consigned to ridicule.  We are taught that individuals cannot be trusted and governments must rule to avoid chaos. We are also herded into the belief that we must give our power up to authority when it is demanded.

Our rulers conspire to weaken self-determination in order to exploit the masses for their own benefit. This is an old paradigm of a vulnerable humanity that is ripe for exploitation.  Must humanity exist in this repressed state in perpetuity?

I believe that the day is quickly approaching that humanity will collectively make a decision to no longer be held inside this box.  How that actually happens is anybody’s guess. Something needs to happen that has never occurred before. I think it will come about through an intuitive recognition that as a species we need to make some serious changes in order to survive on this planet.

If we can truly claim our heritage as homo sapiens (the wise ones) and understand our place in the cosmos, we have a chance of evolving beyond the constraints of our current paradigm.  We are nearly there.  If we are following a spiritual path and doing the research we see that new vistas are opening up.

In earlier blog posts I addressed the Electric Universe model that is quietly dissolving the Standard Model of gravity and relativity theory that has been used to describe the workings of the universe. This is one example of a new paradigm that is about to be revealed and publicly accepted.  There are many other revelations waiting to come into the light once the old order dies. I believe we are at the doorstep of an entirely different way of living once this happens.

To bring this post full circle, the need for mentally prepping is not only about dealing with disturbing changes that threaten our status quo, but to also be prepared for positive outcomes. This is our saving grace. If it is only about our animal survival after a collapse, we will suffer depression and remain vulnerable to exploitation. If we have a vision of an uplifted world where individuals can experience their sovereign person-hood and evolve in god consciousness without being repressed by a top-down political, economic, social, and religious hierarchy, then we have a chance.

Prepping physically is about taking care of our sustenance.  Do we have an emergency food supply, candles, cash on hand if the ATMs go down?

This is something that anyone living in hurricane prone areas thinks about as a matter of natural course.  However, most people don’t think this way.  There’s not enough personal experience to lead one’s life at that level of survival awareness.

There are many degrees of prepping.  Some people go all the way, having a place in the country with gardens, animals, food storage, guns, and barter items that can be exchanged if money goes out of circulation.  There’s no end to prepping, if we’re trying to be fully self-reliant.

There’s no magic formula to prepping.  Everybody approaches it differently, guided by their own emotional inner compass.  What do you need to have on hand to feel secure?

Of course, the level of prepping depends on what we think we are getting ready for.  If it’s a short power outage, it might just be some candles for a romantic interlude.  If the power goes out for a couple of days, we start thinking about food and refrigeration.  Any longer or deeper than that, we need to think about water, personal comfort, and what’s happening out on the street.

This is something none of us really want to relate to.

The reason to go through this exercise, if you haven’t noticed it already, is to address the fact that this country and indeed this world is in a precarious financial condition.  Yes, we can worry about climate change, peak oil, and asteroids, but the real threat is closer to home. The last blog post, Money Matters began to address this subject.

Most prepping discussions in the alternative press are prompted by people’s concerns about a possible economic collapse and resultant social chaos.  This could be brought on by any number of national and world events.  The purpose of this post is not to address the probable causes, but simply to point to the possibility and ask what are we doing, if anything, to prepare ourselves?

I realize this is a nuisance, and most people haven’t elevated this concern to a level where they are doing anything about it.  If we watch the mainstream news, there is very little alarm.  It’s business as usual – the corporate media’s job is to keep people calm, misinformed and moving forward.

However, if we’re doing our research on the Web, having joined the great Internet Reformation, we know that we are fast approaching some kind of cliff.  It’s somewhere out there, but no one knows how far away it is.  Despite the unknown time frame in reaching it, there is a gathering consensus that our social system, our government, our military, and our monetary system are all unstable and likely to falter.  Some kind of crisis event is out there on the horizon.

The threat of nuclear World War III looms. For some reason our leaders are mad for power.  There is some sort of collective insanity happening at the highest levels of government and finance.  We may not be able to influence the course of events manufactured by these crazed people, but we can prepare for the possible fallout.

Taking it a few steps further……..if our humpty-dumpty, highly complex, tightly interwoven, world wide, just in time, financial system can’t be put back together again, how are we going to survive if the interruption to our personal lives is permanent?  What will that world look like for each of us? Are we willing to prep to the degree necessary to survive in that scenario?

This is not about trading a life of ease for a life of fear. It is about looking squarely at local, national, and world events, taking measure of the situation and getting clear with ourselves about what if anything we want to do to secure our future in the event of social disruption.

In this post, I have addressed prepping mostly in reference to physical security.  In a future post I will further address its psychological component.

It is an especially important topic these days because our financial system appears to be in a precarious state.  Everybody knows this, yet there is much disagreement on the degree of danger.

From the mainstream news channels, it’s business as usual, trying to reassure a concerned public that a recovery is just around the corner. In the ‘alternative’ financial news, the reports from the front lines are deafening.  My personal sense, having given up on the propaganda of the corporate controlled media, is that we’re headed for a real bruiser.

Most people don’t seem to be paying much attention to it, thinking that we’re just in another one of those nasty cyclical downturns, but eventually will rise above. It’s easy to lull ourselves into this type of thinking. We’ve always kept our heads above water, so why wouldn’t we pull it off again?  Sure, some people suffer, but aren’t we on a long trajectory, a rising tide that will once again lift all boats?  Isn’t that the glory of our wonderful American dream of endless financial well-being? Aren’t we entitled to have that?

The problem is, various chickens are coming home to roost and our nest is getting so fouled that we are near to abandoning the hen house.  The stench of fraud, manipulated markets, impossible debt loads, currency plunder through massive money printing, zero interest rates, and all manner of financial chicanery is soon to bring the house down.

The only people that can’t see this are those that are living in denial.  The evidence that we are at the edge of an abyss is irrefutable.  We can look away, whistle for better times, or have faith that our central planners will keep playing the music so our Titanic doesn’t go down, but that is delusion.

The reason it is a delusion is that we have been conned by a gigantic Ponzi scheme created by a nasty and greedy group of banksters. This scheme has been running since 1913 when the Federal Reserve was formed to print money and loan it to the US government as debt. These central planners, the moneyed men of their era succeeded in wresting power away from the American people and created a form of debt slavery that is strangling this country, and indeed most of the world today.  Their fiat money creation, now no longer backed by gold has been a license to print whatever volume of money they desire and to funnel it into untold wars, subterfuge and black ops.

This scheme has only one outcome. It is now reaching an apex, as the amount of debt having been created by governments and people is so great that interest payments on this debt can no longer be serviced.  Instead of reducing this debt and thus the interest payments, the central planners have decided to flood the system with more debt-based money and thus create inflation. The end result, as has happened when other empires have fallen, is economic collapse via hyper-inflation or currency devaluation.

The asset base on which to create new debt money has not expanded to keep up with the amount of money creation.  Instead, as part of the fiat system, the banksters have re-hypothecated these assets many times over and used them as collateral again and again.  At some point this fraud will be exposed and the underlying assets revealed as having been pledged too many times.  When the music stops, there will be no chairs to sit down on.

This game of musical chairs or house of cards is in an extremely vulnerable state.  Who knows what the tipping point is.  It could be a war, one large failed bank, a sovereign default, food riots, or a weather catastrophe.  Nobody knows.

However, more and more people are realizing it’s not a question of if, it’s a question of when.

The last post, the Saturn Death Cult, explored possible origins of occult knowledge influencing our culture today. This information, which has been hidden due to both ignorance and subterfuge, reveals a startling window into our human past.

There is a great deal of information about the origins of this occult knowledge in the unfolding story being told by the ‘Thunderbolts’ scholars who are developing the Electric Universe and Saturn Polar Configuration theories.

The more I delve into the subject, the more intrigued I become. It appeals to me because it has its basis in careful science and rigorous studies in Comparative Mythology.  It doesn’t necessitate a belief in alien astronauts, pre-Ice Age civilizations, or humanity having been seeded from other planets, though some or all of that may be true.  It tells a story that is mostly ‘down to earth’, yet is a scenario that floors most people.

For me, this scenario provides answers to many nagging questions that I have long had about human cultural evolution. So much has seemed confused and disjointed. Why so much human subjugation, so much hardship, so much greed?

It seems that recently we have been scrambling to make sense of it all, as our future appears precarious.  Why are things so out of kilter? What kind of collective insanity are we going through, as if we are a programmed life form marching to its ruination?

Whether the Saturn Death Cult thesis rings a bell for us or not, we have to admit that somehow we humans have created a matrix of belief that is tearing apart out world and could cause our extinction.  Is this just a simple case of an animal about to exhaust its habitat, or is it a sign of a cultural legacy that is highly dysfunctional?

The matrix is a good word to describe not only our cultural conditioning, but also our physical and mental processes. It is more than a belief system, it is the summary of our individual and collective thoughts and the environment in which they play out. Somehow we humans have constructed a matrix that is not working for us anymore, if indeed it ever did.

The Saturn Death Cult posits that in the not so distant past we humans experienced grave psychic trauma from tremendous earth cataclysms that nearly wiped out our species. This led to deep feelings of vulnerability, and the need for meaning to explain our ill fortune and avoid its repeat. Needless to say, this vulnerability was exploited by unscrupulous people in positions of power.

Enter the matrix

As a young species only recently capable of self-reflection, there is much that is unknown to us.  When something happens that is unexplainable, stories get told and interpretations are made.  Some stories stick and get adopted by the culture in order to create meaning to replace the bewilderment. This is how the matrix gets formed.  Eventually a full-blown belief system arises, with all kinds of controls built in.  We could isolate this in just a cultural context, but to my sense, the matrix actually involves the physical world as well.  As the Buddha said, “We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.”  This may sound far out if we extrapolate it out into the physical realm, but more and more people are waking up to this premise, even though they may not personally experience it on a day-to-day basis.  Many of us now know that the Universe is much more fluid and open ended than our cultural conditioning has informed us.

This matrix is what holds us in position and forms the basis for our interactions with the world.  Most people aren’t aware of it. Life in this third dimension is so mesmerizing that it is difficult to see anything other than what is in front of our noses.  Many people go through the motions in life, never questioning their reality. Many cultural assumptions never get challenged, and hence we get programmed without our knowing it. We grow up, get jobs, have babies, and then we die. Some of us question the whole thing deeply, but many are just getting on with life and don’t have the interest in doing the work to research the origin of their consciousness.

It is hard work in being a detective rooting out the truth, but the results are rewarding. Once we start reaching bedrock, having cleared out much of the B.S. we can have some satisfaction that we will no longer be prey to the matrix. In this case, I am referring to the matrix that has been shoved onto us, as a conditioning that has its origins in long ago sources.  This, I believe, is the main story of our existence that we need to sort out at this important junction in human history.

Something happened long ago that brought us to our knees and penetrated us with a fear that is reminiscent of death, but is something else.  We need to learn the cause of this so we can move on.

The second part is how we gave away our personal power to those amongst us who promised us salvation from this fear, as well as the guilt that we feel, thinking that we brought it down on ourselves.

We need to take back our sovereignty as individuals and stop letting others rule our lives with religious, financial, and social systems that have done nothing but enslave us.  We thought we were being offered solace and a secure place in the world, but we ended up being taken advantage of.

Yes, we can stop there and blame others for having constructed this matrix that is disenfranchising us, but in truth we let it happen. We made a bargain so that some of us didn’t have to look at the dark shadows that plagued us.  This is where it all went wrong.  Too many of us wanted to look the other way and to hear stories that soothed our fears.  No one really knew the answers, but we wanted to pretend that somebody did, and of course there’s always somebody ready to spin a story and take over the narrative.

Well, the narrative got hijacked for nefarious selfish purposes and the spin-doctors, the priestly class, ran with it.  And ever since we have been listening to this self-serving storyline tailored by the haves, so they can continue ruling over the have-nots.

Fortunately, an awareness of this situation is brewing. The matrix is starting to unravel. The worldwide web, our new auxiliary collective mental process, is starting to make a difference. Much more needs to occur, but the good news is that many people are waking up to the many lies that our society has been fed.

Once you’ve clawed part of the way out of the matrix, you start realizing the incredible breadth of these lies and the disinformation that is written up as history.  This journey is nothing less than the full emancipation of humanity from the unknowing that has shrouded our existence.  The matrix doesn’t want you to know this. The mainstream media, the corrupt politicians, the overlord corporatists, the Vatican, the central banksters, the Illuminati families – all the elite masters and their occult knowledge are holding humanity hostage. The elite that embrace occult practices may not know the full details of the old Saturnian solar system and its demise, but they are indeed utilizing symbolism and ritual control mechanisms that arose out of this early human experience.

In order to lessen the power of the matrix over us, we need to educate ourselves and deal with the emotional charge that surrounds it.  Once we begin to get past our denial and see the extent of the collusion however, it’s possible to get bogged down in anger, grief and fear.  This emotional complex is a big hurdle. Many people aren’t ready for their illusions to be challenged so severely.

The matrix is all encompassing and includes not only the hidden social controls, but also the larger questions of our existence. It all adds up to one big nut to crack, but what could be more rewarding than parting the curtain to see the inner machinations of the matrix?  Once we get a grip on the situation, we will no longer be exploited by our ignorance. We can wake up to our true potential.

He attempts to bridge the reality of a long ago solar system configuration and its dissolution that forever altered human experience, with a disturbing social matrix that evolved in the millennia afterwards. According to McLachlan, this dynamic is still playing out today.

In order to make sense of this thesis, it is necessary to first read about the Saturn Polar Configuration theory. Most people have not heard of this subject, and fewer still have explored the evidence. The more I look into it, the more I am willing to conclude that this is a very important missing piece of our human prehistory that needs to come out into the open.  Troy McLachlan has taken it a step further and has drawn his own conclusions about how the Saturn Polar Configuration and its demise has reverberated down to the present day.

This is outside the box scholarship, and may never reach the mainstream, but is a great exercise in understanding how cultures likely interpreted and integrated such catastrophic experiences.  This is particularly interesting in light of the knowledge that the old Saturnian system broke up and the planets departed to far away orbits around our new sun. After those tumultuous times, the main event could only be referred to through stories, because the physical evidence was no longer there! The memories of those times, the impact on the collective psyche, and how humanity has dealt with it, underpins the thesis of the Saturn Death Cult.

According to theorists behind the Saturn Polar Configuration there still were periodic environmental disruptions up through the middle of the 1^st century BCE, most likely from Venus passing near Earth as it careened around the heavens looking to settle into a new orbit. These increasingly rare debacles abated as the heavens became more and more ordered, leaving the old myths as the only sign of a long ago chaotic human experience.

So what was it like to be in recovery mode after all that planetary drama settled down?  We must have continued to look over our shoulders expecting more doom, yet were also probably left with a feeling of being abandoned. It would be only natural to miss the awe and wonder that the gods brought us, since we humans love intensity – as long as it doesn’t kill us!  Our observations of the life of the gods (planets) enthralled us and we made up many stories about what was happening in the heavens.  The universal principle in ancient times was: So Above – So Below.  Everything that went on above our heads was analyzed and reflected back into our cultures. Such a dynamic display was obviously sacred and important, and needed to be recorded in memory. Meaning was then attributed to every phase of the evolution of our early solar system.

Myths of every culture at that time were based on the interpreted meaning of what was going on with the gods. When they were no longer acting out on the stage above our heads, we began to regard these past events differently. What were observations became stories, and later assimilated into the culture in a more solidified way. As stories became fixed, ritual was added. The need arose to reenact the displays that were no longer physically occurring.

These rituals were meant to recreate the attributes of the gods and bring about whatever effects were associated with them. The gods had taught us something important and we wanted to feel and be a part of their power. Beyond simply honoring them, the meaning we gave to their actions was what we wanted to activate, or to deactivate.  This is the god-human story that has always been with us. We observe something powerful outside of ourselves, give it meaning, and then propitiate it in order to take on and interact with such qualities.  It’s a convenient feedback loop for humans and one that is especially dynamic when related to intense dramas of planetary upheavals that have been anthropomorphized as gods who rule over us.

These powerful forces in the heavens had so much impact on human culture that they created the basis for many religions and cults lasting until today. This basis was no childish, imaginative story fabricated by early, ignorant humans, but something perfectly observable with the naked eye.  This is why this story is still alive today, but hidden under layers of cultural accretion.

When the clouds cleared and the heavens became quiescent, human memory was still echoing with the clash of the titans. This is when the philosopher priests as rulers emerged and began to use the power of this memory to order the new society.  It appeared that the rituals to appease the gods were working.  This solidified the power of this class and gave them control over the masses. Fear is a primary motivator in giving up power to those that promise protection.  Acceding to seemingly knowledgeable people that could guarantee physical and psychic safety was a bargain that humans were all to willing to make.

Initially, the priests set about recording the history of the prior catastrophes, bringing about development of the written word.  This was done in an effort to be able to warn future generations of the possibility of a return to chaos.  This information formed the basis of the first secret societies, winding all the way down through history to the present, keeping alive occult information related to the old Saturnian system.

The Golden Age

Prior to the development of this priesthood, in what McLachlan calls the silver age, humanity experienced a golden age of elevated consciousness and abundance brought about by the profound changes in the celestial environment:

Humans could now see the stars after the disintegration of the previously opaque plasma sheath that encompassed Saturn and Earth

Saturn had flared into a brighter orb, giving off more light and warming radiation

Day and night were beginning to be felt as the new sun began its influence

A sense of time developed as Saturn showed revolving crescent shadows caused by the influence of the new sun, thus giving a regular display and indicating the period of the day or night

Year round growing conditions supported abundance in food without toil or agriculture.

Saturn, Venus, and Mars put on intense visual displays, and stunning plasma events filled the sky with drama, stimulating the human imagination.

Further speculation on my part paints a picture of humanity with newly endowed consciousness states, perhaps telepathic capabilities, and a balanced bicameral mind that supported the discovery of new ‘technologies’ that we still don’t have today. Perhaps this period of ‘prehistory’ and its advancements were the run-up to the already sophisticated Sumerian and Egyptian civilizations that seemed to spring out of nowhere around 3,000 BCE?

Today, we have come to think that a golden age must mean a time of opulence and material wealth, but perhaps in this case, it was a time of harmony and plenty, without the need for advanced material technology, writing and other supports we think are now so important. In this scenario, the golden age was the time of the proverbial Garden of Eden.

The Silver Age

According to McLachlan’s theory, this golden age was the example that later silver age societies sought to reconstruct, but without the environmental supports.  The golden age ended in Doomsday events in the final breakup of the Saturnian system, and the new situation on Earth was not as conducive to easy living. More effort was needed to ensure survival, with society evolving in more complex ways.

Initially the silver age priesthoods were successful in creating harmony by establishing a new social equilibrium through the formation of a uniform system of weights and measures, giving society an egalitarian basis.

“Their goal was to establish a righteousness and justice they perceived to be the legacy of the prior golden age.  These weights, measures and calendars were established and enshrined by law in a growing network of interlinked temples and monuments that spanned the globe.

With the establishment of weights and measures a new, yet dangerously insidious concept began to take hold within the temples of priesthoods – the advent of the universal language of international commerce. The driving factor in the increase of trade in the Silver Age was the newly derived notion of money.”

The Beginnings of the Saturn Death Cult

Continuing in McLachlan’s words, “As the Silver Age approached its zenith, certain priesthoods quickly consolidated their power via this new money system until all wealth found itself being concentrated in the hands of a shrinking minority.  The Temple became this system’s centre of operations, its central bank, and this ultimately heralded the emergence of that most insidiously influential of historical characters:  The Priest-Kings.

These Priest-Kings were the original Bluebloods.  In reality, they were nothing more than mere merchant bankers with a monopoly over the arguably useless production of gold and silver.  With the emergence of these temple-based banking parasites the peoples of Earth began to experience a new and most sinister force – debt-based slavery.

The tragedy was that all the careful work by the early priesthoods in preserving the memory of a righteous and just Golden Age through a system of laws and accurate weights and measures was now being usurped by this new and easily manipulated system of commerce based on gold-backed money.

Under this new system merchant bankers, hiding behind the authority of the temple, would be elevated to a position of heaven-like authority over all commercial activity.  The old established concept of authority as being founded on righteousness and justice was now replaced with the merchant bankers’ debt-based slavery system.”

No other place exemplified this more than a place called Babel on the ancient plains of Shinar, the future location of the city of Babylon.  There the central banking temple and its merchant bankers saw their financial authority grow to towering proportions, giving rise to the legend of the Tower of Babel.

Of course, as the ensuing ages would show over and over again, a debt-based monetary system eventually implodes under its own debt-laden weight, and the higher you build its edifice, the mightier the crash.  In an age fresh from multiple cosmic upheavals, the peoples of the Earth found themselves experiencing something unique  – a man-made global catastrophe in the form of a systemic economic meltdown.

In this way did the so-called Tower of Babel collapse and the global economic chaos that followed forced whole nations and peoples to go back to their old diverse languages of commerce and trade.  A confusion of different weights and measures now reigned, unsupported by any universal and unifying financial system.

The Saturn Death Cult Today

This is one aspect of McLachlan’s Death Cult – a thread leading to the financial stranglehold we see rising up today and threatening to destroy our modern economy.  In making this comparison we see that what is happening today is not so different than what other long ago cultures experienced as a result of fiat money systems engineered by ‘masters of the universe’, aka philosopher-priests in their money temples.

The Saturn Death Cult moves on to document other nefarious control mechanisms that the elite have used to dominate the masses: ritual sacrifice, sexual slavery, and other forms of patriarchal madness.

As is true today, the elite were not necessarily the visible leaders of society, but those behind the scenes who kept alive information from the past.  They kept this information to themselves and hidden within their secret societies and mystery schools. “As time went by, the mythologies and legends recording the actual planetary events of the Golden Age became distorted into literal humanistic dramas.  These dramas were then to be physically re-enacted out as ritual by those aspiring to own the legacy of Saturn’s power and authority as creator.” Both overt and covert religions were formed as a way to cement this power, including as mentioned above, a class of money priests who to this day work to enslave people in their fiat debt system.

The value of McLachlan’s thesis is to help unravel the madness of the control mechanisms that are currently decimating our human cultures, and to understand how it all began. Everybody can agree that that some part of the collective human psyche is damaged and vulnerable to being preyed upon. Many people have ascribed that to simple survival issues, sensing that all life is precarious and there is a natural fear of difficulty, pain and death. That may be enough to feel victimized, but there is another parallel thread running through our lives that is less understood.  According to McLachlan and other scholars, mankind’s collective wound came about from undergoing terrible trauma during dramatic earth changes spanning millennia.  It is hard wired in us to expect an apocalypse just around the corner.  We don’t really know why we carry around this feeling of dread, which we often misinterpret as a direct fear of death.

Humans seem to willingly give their power away to those that promise them safety from disturbing outcomes they don’t understand. This is the role that religion often plays. This vulnerability can trap people in their ignorance when they don’t move from unknowing to knowing by educating themselves. Some people instead choose to rely on others who seem more powerful, smarter, and connected in to established systems of governance.

That is the problem today – people need to take off their blinders and work on their emancipation by gaining new knowledge through their own research. Otherwise, humanity is sunk. Society is not going to work anymore unless we grow up and reposition our priorities away from being ruled by others. The elite are all too happy to feed the population endless misinformation and lies, hoping to placate and dumb down as many people as possible in order to keep the serfs chained and working for their masters. The Saturn Death Cult, the New World Order, the Trans-National Shadow Government is alive today, and hoping to gain ever more power over the masses.

The only way to break out of the matrix is to understood how it got created in the first place.  Once we understand it, the less control it has over us, and the better functioning our society can be. That its origins might be found in a long ago planetary – human trauma is an interesting conclusion.

The Crimes of the Saturn Death Cult

The Saturn Polar Configuration theory is so revolutionary and so mind-boggling, that if proven correct, our conventional understanding of human and planetary history in the last 15,000 years needs to be completely revised. Few people have encountered this story, even though it has been brewing for over 20 years. The best way to learn about this theory is to watch a 78 minute video by David Talbott, called, ‘Symbols of an Alien Sky.’

Coupled with the Electric Universe theory and in-depth Comparative Mythology studies, an alternate historical picture of our solar system emerges. When we look up at the stars today, we view a quiescent scene.  The planets are far away in their elliptical orbits, pin pricks of light revolving uniformly around the Sun. This regularity appears as if it has always been the case.  The phrase, ‘uniformitarian’ has been coined by modern scholars to describe not only the benign behavior of planets, but how species slowly evolve, and landmasses creep across the Earth. This reassuring, almost timeless reality is the basis for our ordered world. But has it always been this way?

According to the Saturn Polar Configuration theory, not more than 6,000 years ago our ancestors lived in a very different world, with a heavens in a different configuration than today.  The planets were not far away from the Earth, but overhead, in conjunction above the North Pole.  These planets were Saturn, Venus and Mars.  Saturn was the primary orb, and was originally not a planet, but a sub-brown dwarf star.  This is perhaps one of the most difficult details to wrap our heads around, but as we will see, there is much more to bend our minds.

At this point, many people give up.  This is why this story has not hit the mainstream. The implications are so great and the alternative scenario so at odds with our conventional view, that taking the leap and opening our minds to the possibility is going against the matrix. This matrix is the web of our current beliefs, which can be seen as either creating coherence for us, or imprisoning us in a falsehood. In this case, I believe we are holding onto an erroneous understanding and need to revise theories that have existed for centuries. Our society conditions us toward sticking with established consensus and so we have difficulty looking with fresh eyes. To step out of our closely held beliefs and out of the matrix, is a great challenge.

The Saturn Polar Configuration is exactly the sort of thing that breaks the mold, and is only approachable by an open, inquiring mind. I digress to say that this is what we all need to develop further. Many paradigms that prop up our culture are now crumbling, and we must get ahead of the curve with new understandings.

So, join me at the top of the curl as we surf this wave and consider that today’s brave scholars who are working outside the establishment are piecing together a startling revision to history.  This is not a hair-brained, new age theory, but is based on much scientific research. We will someday look back at these times with incredulity, wondering how we could have been so deluded to consider the universe as some kind of predictable machine – clockwork that has been abandoned by the clockmaker.

Gods as Planets

The key to understanding this theory is the recognition that ancient gods depicted in diverse worldwide mythologies did not originate as mentally fabricated heroes and heroines, but as planets!  The story of the god’s lives was the story of the movement of the planets.  And these planets were not in far off places in the sky – they were overhead, looming in an amazing line of conjunction with the large sphere of Saturn as the backdrop for Venus and Mars. To get a picture of this, see the image at the beginning of this post.

The gods (planets) were important to humans, because they existed in close proximity, and they often impacted each other.  There are innumerable stories of capricious gods fighting amongst themselves while all hell broke loose. In other periods they appeared stable and benign, invoking reverence and awe. Sometimes they evolved from benevolent to threatening as they changed form.  The gods and their exploits told a story of solar system evolution as the skies changed before our eyes.  This primordial configuration focused on Saturn eventually broke up and the gods (planets) deserted humanity. As the planets left for their current orbits in the sky, our myths and rituals diminished by the century and much was forgotten.  That is why today we think of myth as just child’s play from a time when humans were thought to be less evolved and ignorant.  This is not true – myths from all over the world incorporate observations of these long ago celestial events and have preserved them down to our times.  It is only we in our foolish modern conceit that have failed to see what these myths speak of.  Instead we rely on computer simulations to help us create more and more abstracted versions of reality, and ignore the stories of our ancestors.

Planetary Instability

During the time when the planets were close to the Earth, these celestial objects were not always stationary – they periodically moved back and forth within the same conjunction.  As they did, they influenced each other by coming in contact via their magnetic or electrified fields. This is where the Electric Universe theory comes in and helps point to the types of disruptions that occurred as the planets came near each other.  Two polarized bodies carry their own electrical charges, and when in close relation to each other discharge electrically to achieve balance or stasis. This occurs as the electricity or plasma arcs between the two bodies.  On Earth, lightning plays a similar role as it joins earth and sky. In a laboratory, at arms length, this is a stunning display.  Witnessing planets in the sky, arcing with tremendous thunderbolts of stellar lightning is a fearful, life-changing event.  This is what our ancestors saw, and it led them to record this for posterity.

As a side story, this is an explanation for many types of petro glyphs found all over the world. Humans were viewing incredible plasma events in the sky and inscribing these visual forms on rocks. These forms appeared in widely dispersed cultures at roughly the same time, because everyone on Earth witnessed them.  This is a discovery made by scholars in a cross discipline exchange between the fields of plasma studies and archaeology.

The awe of beholding such an event between planets in the sky was second only to experiencing the effects that happened to Earth.  Awe could turn to terror at the terrible calamities that were inflicted. In the physical and mythological record of Earth there are many catastrophes involving extinctions, pestilence, deluge, flood, fire, freezing and prolonged darkness.  A conjecture based on the Saturn Polar Configuration theory is that these types of events were the catastrophes that befell Earth at the end of the last ice age 12,000 – 9,500 BCE.  Another period of instability was around 4,000 – 3,000 BCE, with disruptions occurring infrequently up to the middle of the first century BCE.

At the peak of these events, the continuation of human life on this planet was threatened.  This is the source of all mankind’s fear of annihilation, the memory of Armageddon, of world catastrophe, of Earth cataclysms, of the Day of Judgment.

To understand this theory better, it is necessary to take a look at each of the planets and see the role that they played, as revealed in mythological stories.  These roles, as expressed by the lives of the gods, and the interactions they had with other gods, are the foundational source for this theory. We cannot reconstruct a physical reality of a long ago solar system by physical evidence. It is only by reading the mythological record that we can recreate what may have been our ancestor’s experience.

Remember – this theory is a work in progress and not all the details have been worked out.  The following is the best shot that we have today, brought together by a group of scholars under the banner of the Thunderbolts group. More work is needed in the field of Archeoastronomy and Comparative Mythology to substantiate their premise. This work is happening outside of mainstream science and is driven by scholars that are pursuing it with a passion.

The following information is specific to the role each planet may have played in both the Saturnian and current solar systems.

Saturn

Saturn was our original sun, a sub-brown dwarf star that enveloped the Earth and Mars in a protective plasma sheath.  In mainstream science it is becoming clear that brown dwarf stars are everywhere in the universe, and that they may be the prime incubators for planets – the perfect medium for life to evolve. When observed through telescopes, these stars appear larger than they really are due to the encompassing plasma sheath being seen in its entirety, hiding the small solar system within. This plasma sheath is similar to our current sun’s transparent heliosphere, but nearly opaque.

Over the millennia, our Saturnian solar system drifted on its own through the galaxy, eventually coming into contact with our current Sun’s heliosphere.  This may have happened periodically over millions of years or it may have occurred for the first time within the last 25,000 years.  This most recent contact turned out to be a dynamic encounter that eventually caused the demise of our Saturnian system.  The Sun gradually captured this system in its gravitational field and caused the ouster of Saturn, which flared around 6,000 years ago.  Saturn shriveled in size, and as a gaseous giant, gave birth to Venus as a brand new planet.  A major disruption occurred as our current Sun took over. All the planets, including a diminished Saturn left for new orbits around a newly dominant Sun. How’s that for an old paradigm buster!

In primordial times, called by some the purple dawn, the Earth was radiated by Saturn in a uniform way over the entire planet.  The light was dim with no separate day or night. Seasons were non-existent.  The temperature was uniform over most of the earth, a temperate climate with year round growing weather. Humans were not able to see the stars and lived in a type of all encompassing bubble.  A side theory is that the Earth once had a different gravity and this allowed large, heavy animals like the dinosaurs to exist.

Saturn’s encounter with the Sun went through a number of phases. The earliest disruption may have occurred at the end of the last ice age, and was mostly likely a novae type event as the Sun began to steal Saturn’s prominence.  It did not break up the Saturnian system, which continued for another 5,000 years or more, but was sufficiently dramatic to dissolve the plasma sheath and for the first time humans were able to observe a starry sky that was not there before. This may have been small consolation, as terrible cataclysms and extinctions were experienced at the the end of the ice age.

Some scholars believe that this opening to a new window on the universe kicked off a golden age, as it woke humans out of a long evolutionary slumber.  It was a time of plenty with Saturn still giving off its warm glow, coupled with the appearance of a new Sun gradually gaining dominance and offering its light, beginning a differentiation of day and night. This stimulated humans toward an era that was the origin of the proverbial Garden of Eden.

Venus

According to this model, Venus was born out of Saturn not more than 4,000 – 6,000 years ago.  Immanuel Velikovsky, an iconoclastic scholar and forefather of aspects of the Saturn Polar Configuration theory wrote in 1950 that Venus emerged out of Jupiter, another gaseous giant.  Today, it is believed instead that Venus emerged from Saturn during one of its phases of diminishment. No hard evidence for either scenario exists other than that gleaned from the mythological record.

Venus was birthed as a heated, electrified body and took various forms over the centuries.  At times it exhibited the behavior of a comet with a thrashing tail, and other times a radiating star-like planet that held fast in conjunction with a much larger Saturn.  This means it did not revolve around Saturn, which was also true for Mars and the Earth.  The mechanism for conjunction, whether gravitational, magnetic, or electrical, is so different than the current observed elliptical orbits of planets, that this is a major stumbling block for some. It is still being worked out in the hard sciences.

The magic of this vision of conjunct planets looming overhead, stationary in the heavens is something that is full of wonder for me.  So too is the display that an actively flaring Venus must have put on, with Saturn as a backdrop.  Added to that inspiration is the red planet Mars, a little smaller than Venus, and sitting directly in front, appearing as the hub of a wheel or the pupil in the eye.  From the earth, this must have been an astonishing sight.  As the story goes, Venus as a young planet evolved in its flaring and gave off many kinds of visual displays.  When Mars moved relative to Venus, this too changed the imagery observed from Earth. These inspiring visual forms were the basis for all kinds of cultural expression seen in clothing, headdresses, crowns and other regal objects. These intense displays seen in the sky were also inscribed repeatedly upon rocks found out in the open. The video, ‘Symbols of an Alien Sky’ does an excellent job in revealing the many forms Venus displayed over the centuries. Today, most of our celestial drama comes from the moon, a far cry from the ancient sky depicted by the Saturn Polar Configuration.

In later times when the Saturnian system began to break up, Venus took on its Medusa or Kali like form with a wild tail and disheveled hair and began to threaten earth with its erratic behavior.  This is likely the time that Venus began to act like a comet as it careened around the sky seeking a stable orbit around the new Sun.

Mars

Known as the wounded warrior-hero, and masculine, as opposed to the feminine Venus, Mars has played a significant role as the planet closest to us.  It is not known if this planet, or Venus, or possibly Saturn was responsible for the environmental catastrophes on Earth.  Something interacted with Earth that descended from the heavens. An upwelling from within did not cause these cataclysms.

We do know that Mars has suffered greatly from passing close to another planetary body, which caused the plasma arcing that is responsible for the blasting out of the deep ravines in the area called Valles Marineris.  This scenario is part of a follow-on video named ‘The Lightning Scared Planet Mars’, which is part 2 of Symbols of an Alien Sky.

Also of interest are the possible reasons for the northern hemisphere of Mars being a full six miles lower in elevation compared to the southern hemisphere. Was this rock layer blasted off the planet, the debris helping create the asteroid belt? Is this the source of Martian meteorites found on Earth? The Electric Universe theory has a comprehensive explanation for this, while mainstream science flounders with stories of comets and asteroids pummeling Mars.

The Other Planets

Jupiter is the next important planet in the Saturn Polar Configuration theory. Consensus has not been reached whether Jupiter was originally part of our current Sun’s solar system or was part of the Saturnian solar system.  If it was part of the Saturnian system, it may have been hiding behind Saturn in the same line of conjunction as the other planets and thus unseen from earth.

What is believed is that Jupiter had a tussle with Saturn during the time that Saturn was diminishing in size and influence. These two planets are both gaseous giants and have their own unique relationship. Some kind of stellar competition occurred between these two planets as the Saturnian system fell away. This is the story told in Greek mythology. One theory is that our current moon was once a satellite of Jupiter.

Mercury is a mystery.  It doesn’t seem to get a mention other than it was observed zooming across the sky for part of its history.  Remember – fleet footed Mercury!

Neptune, Uranus and Plato don’t figure in any equation. Nor do any rogue planets entering the solar system or any binary stars in relation to the current Sun.

The Plasma Column as Axis Mundi

This is one of the more fascinating discoveries linking the Saturn Polar Configuration with the Electric Universe theory.  Above the North Pole, along the conjunctive axis between the planets, a type of electrical attraction was generated between Saturn, Venus, Mars, and Earth.  This type of plasma event is called a Birkeland current. This connection was visible as a whitish plasma column that changed shape and intensity depending on how close Mars was to Earth.  This dramatic plasma column is one of the main sources of imagery laid down as petro glyphs around the world, equal to the representation of Venus in its flaring forms. This was once called the milky way, but today the association has been lost, and now the term references our galaxy’s radial arms seen faintly in the night sky.

In the laboratory these types of plasma columns can be created in miniature, and are the basis for the vision of what it might have looked like above the North Pole. Add to it the evidence of similar forms depicted in petro glyphs and you start to have a credible theory that this column did exist in the ancient path.

This column is further corroborated by evidence that the North Pole was never covered over with ice during the ice ages. Ice ringed the pole, but beginning much further south from the axis point. Evidence of a great verdant land supporting large herds of animals has been found in this area. In theory this was caused by the ongoing radiating column that dispersed its energy and warmth throughout this zone.

Many civilizations have enshrined the memory of this column variously as the stairway to heaven, Mt. Meru, the Axis Mundi, Jacob’s Ladder, the Tree of Life, even Jack and the Beanstalk.  When viewed in this way, so many confusing myths and imagery from the past begin to make sense.  Humans don’t invent things without a basis in direct experience.  The story of the gods is not a pipedream, a made up story told around the campfire to entertain.  This story is about our earthly and heavenly environment and the drama of its evolution.  How else could we tell the story other than to anthropomorphize the planets as the gods?  Could we keep the memory alive if we referred to cold and hot round billiard balls in a sea of stars against a backdrop of darkness? Humans love to tell a story and to encode sacred meaning in these stories.  This is the way we guarantee longevity of the message. Are we listening?

A Curious Observation

Earlier in this article I made mention of brown dwarf stars and their possible significance as incubators for biological life forms. This likelihood is a prime tenet for the Thunderbolts Group, and something that needs further research. If mainstream astronomy could more strongly focus on this question and investigate brown dwarf stars more thoroughly, there might be breakthroughs in discovering how life is formed in the Universe. Various scholars are of the opinion that our current planetary conditions are not conducive to the support of life evolving as the physical record suggests.  Is this because the Earth once had very different climatic and gravitational conditions for life to evolve within the protective plasma sheath created by Saturn?

Stepping further afield, was the ending of the Saturnian system a natural progression for sentient life forms on the planet? Did this force humans to evolve and wake up further from their animalistic slumber? Did the sudden appearance of stars in the sky stimulate humans to begin to question their reality?

Is this the way the Universe develops life and forces it to differentiate and increase in complexity, eventually leading to a species capable of self-reflection?  Are we now winding our way backwards through this mystery, using these powers of reflection to uncover how we got to this point?  If so, the Saturn Polar Configuration and the mythological stories of our ancestors are a prime source for our revelations.
